Why make a photo blog about car lights?

Good question, I am glad you asked! 😉 Since I was a little boy I found cars interesting to look at. One day I picked up a book about Lancia and was fascinated by their elegant designs.

About twenty years ago - it could have been around 2006 when the first Audi R8 was seen on Swiss roads - I noticed a trend that car manufacturers started to create new and exciting design details on their lights. With the introduction of LEDs, the headlights and taillights of cars were once again becoming brand-defining, signature design elements.

So every now and then I would quickly grab my smartphone to capture a cool car's lights when passing by. Now Car Lights Blog is my place to collect and honor car light designs that seem interesting, beautiful or just made me smile.
